Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation – Discount Incentive Program

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation BWC has a special program called The Safety Council Discount Incentive Program. This is an annual Program that they have offered for the past 3 years to any employer whose Workers’ Compensation is state funded and they are not self-insured.

The Program runs for a 1 year period from July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Enrollment is conducted in the summer and participants must fulfill established requirements in order to successfully complete the Program. Those who do will receive a check in October equivalent to a rate determined by the BWC.

Employers who wish to participate in this Program must become a member of a Safety Council certified by the BWC. The Greater Cleveland Safety Council is certified by the BWC to participate in this Program. Employers must complete a New Enrollment Form and 2 Semi-Annual Reports and submit them to the Safety Council before the deadlines established by the BWC. The Semi-Annual Report can now be completed on-line at our website.

The other Program requirements may vary from year to year. More information about next year’s Program will be made available on our website as it becomes available from the BWC.
